Privacy Policy & Cookies

Cookies

Cookies are files with a very small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website, such as this, and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Like most of today’s websites, we use cookies to collect information, for example to learn which pages you visited on our website. On occasion, we may use such information to advertise our services to you, for example via our Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/BarrysGuidedTours/). However, you may choose to not accept non-essential cookies, by selecting “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of our website and turning off the corresponding button.

Privacy Policy

Barry’s Guided Tours (“we”, “us”, “our”) may from time to time, with your permission, collect your name, phone number and/or email address. We never collect any personal information about you without your permission, unless for contractual reasons. For example, if you attend one of our walking events, naturally we require your contact details to forward you event details, regarding weather, meeting point, what to bring, etc. We never collect other, more personal data such as your age and postal address, etc, unless with your clear consent.

When we are in possession of your personal details, either through you granting them to us or because of contractual requirements, we do not keep them after three years, if you have not further engaged with us over that period. “Not further engaged” means, for example, if you never open an email received from us, for which you gave us permission to send.

We never keep any personally identifiable data files in paper version. We do not keep any lists of names, phone numbers, email addresses, etc, in paper format.

Barry’s Guided Tours will never, under any circumstances, sell your name, phone and/or email contact details (or any other) to any third party. We may, however, share such details with Mailchimp, for sending out periodic email newsletters. This only applies when you have given us permission to do so.

You can read about the Mailchimp Privacy Policy here. You can unsubscribe from our Mailchimp database at any time, here.

Below, we inform you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of this website and by other means.

Information about Collection And Use

Offline, we may be in possession of your name, phone number and/or email address for the provision of contract purposes, or because you have given us such information and granted us permission to use them for marketing and/or event announcement purposes. Online, while using our website, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name and email address. Like many website operators, we also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our website (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
