A wonderful, relaxing and varied week of walking. We move from native woodlands of the Catalan interior to the coastal town of L’Escala and its rugged coastline.
Next Dates : 8 – 15 September 2023
Location : The interior and coast of Catalunya, approx 1 hour north of Girona.
Level : Moderate, but with some short stretches of tougher inclines and declines.
Distance Walked per Day : From 11km to 25km.
(The longest day is completely flat and easy, but you can choose to walk just 16km instead, if you prefer)
Duration : 8 days, 7 nights, 5 days of walking, plus one rest day. September 2023.
Description :
Our week takes us from the extraordinary landscape of the dead volcanoes of La Garrotxa, through fields and low hills, to the Catalan coast.
We walk mostly off-road, through beautiful native broadleaf forests and alongside open fields, between lovely little villages and towns. We enjoy one rest day, where we visit an incredible ruined Greco-Roman city.
This trip offers a week of great walking, food, wine and company, all at a relaxed pace. There is some tougher ascending and descending involved on two days only. One is where we cross over a few low hills, while the other involves ups and downs between rocky coves by the sea, but nothing too demanding.

A deposit of €200 per person is required to hold your booking, subject to further payments by bank transfer (IBAN), details of which will be outlined in the tour documentation forwarded to you.
Included : All transfers within Catalunya, seven nights B&B, all packed lunches, all dinners, all visits, baggage transfers, along with full guiding throughout.
Not included : Your return flight to Girona, your beverages and miscellaneous purchases.
Please note that all tours are subject to minimum numbers.
You must have your own travel and health insurance.
